The Barbados Port Inc. is seeking to ensure that the more than 600 people who work in and around the facility are taking all the necessary precautions against coronavirus (Covid-19).

Yesterday, chairman Senator Lisa Cummins told the Weekend Nation that 92 sanitiser units had been installed and more were on the way.

In addition, workers in the janitorial department had been provided with extra resources, following the direction of the Ministry of Health and protocols the port was following.

She added the port had been hosting a number of sensitisation meetings – eight so far – facilitated by the Ministry of Health, with the largest being held yesterday morning. (SB)
