Police are conducting investigations into a fire which destroyed one home and damaged another at Golden Rock, The Pine, St Michael, on Friday night.

Around 8:05 p.m., police say Wayne Carrington reported his home was on fire.

The 62-year-old said he was cooking when the gas stove exploded and both the uninsured home and attached shop went up in flames.

The house next door, occupied by June Bourne, was partially damaged and suffered water damage.

Two fire tenders with eight personnel responded the call. (PR/SAT)
