CANNABIS-LACED BROWNIES are being distributed more widely across the island and police re sending a warning to parents, school heads and organisers of entertainment events to be on the lookout.
This warning came after a quantity of brownies made with cannabis was confiscated from on board a pleasure boat during a police operation between March 20 and 21.
Police public relations officer Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch said the “treats” were apparently made to target the younger age group. This assessment, he added, was based on “the way we found them being distributed”.
“Obviously they were for the patrons, who we believe to be in the younger age range,” he said. (LK)
