HAMILTON – West Indies, sent in to bat, moved from 71 for one off 29 overs at lunch to 142 for five in 55 overs at tea on the first day of the third Test against New Zealand at Seddon Park, today.
The not out batsmen are Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Denesh Ramdin, both on 30.
The wickets to fall so far are Kieran Powell (26), Kraigg Brathwaite (45), Kirk Edwards (6), Marlon Samuels (0) and Narsingh Deonarine (2).
Corey Anderson (2-7), Tim Southee (2-31) and Neil Wagner (1-26) are the successful bowlers for New Zealand. Apart from Brathwaite, who came in for the injured Darren Bravo, the West Indies also selected spinners Sunil Narine and Veerasammy Permaul for the suspended Shane Shillingford and Shannon Gabriel.
