THE BLOOD AND CRIES from hit-and-run victim Zawadi Gilkes as she lay on Speightstown By-Pass Road near her Alexandra School has left residents shaken and upset.
But despite their anger against the driver who left the 13-year-old student with cuts to her face and right hand, several of them praised the quick action of the St Peter school’s teachers who aided the injured girl.

When she went outside, the woman said, she saw the schoolgirl on the road, bloodied and battered. (AD)
