Vybes Kartel surrenders

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Entertainer Vybz Kartel has surrendered to police three days after they announced he was wanted for questioning.The popular artiste is reportedly suspected of violating the state of emergency imposed during May street battles between police and gang members.The 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Adijah Palmer, was accompanied by his lawyer to a police station outside Kingston.Defense attorney Tom Tavares-Finson said his client would be held overnight for questioning but declined to say why he is being held.
