POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING the drowning of a 13-year-old girl at Pierhead Beach in The City yesterday.

She is Christina Reid, a student of Springer Memorial School, who lived in Gemswick, St Philip. The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m.

When a DAILY NATION team visited Reid’s home, no one was there, but a nearby resident said she was a pleasant girl. “It is sad. That girl was very mannerly and polite; she would never pass me without speaking,” she said.
