Shattered dreams

Kristine Agard often daydreamed of seeing her father Ralston Agard in the audience as she graduated from the University of the West Indies.

Her dreams, however, turned quickly into a nightmare when she found out he had been shot and killed in a small track by his home in Sandy Hill, St Philip, on Tuesday night.

Agard became the 34th murder for the year, the 21st by the gun. The most murders recorded in Barbados in living memory were 35 in 2006. (TG)
