He has two children to support and bills to pay, and that was why he took a chance at selling marijuana, said Sonny Ramboca Alexander Elcock.
But Magistrate Douglas Frederick called him “selfish”, saying while he was thinking about himself, he was not considering those to whom he was selling the illegal substance.
Elcock, a 43-year-old general worker, of Nursery Close, Eden Lodge, St Michael, pleaded guilty in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday to having cannabis, having it with intent to supply and having a traffickable quantity on January 12.
“To be honest with you, I was in a position where I wasn’t working or nothing,” Elcock said. “I took that chance.” (HLE)
