PM loves togetherness

A GREAT MOVEMENT FOR BARBADOS.

That’s was how Prime Minister Freundel Stuart described yesterday’s One People, One Barbados Human Chain Link initiative after he had joined with scores of Barbadians to participate in the event outside of Parliament.

Stuart joined the link along with Opposition Leader Mia Mottley, even though they did not stand side by side. He stood beside Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson and Minister of Social Care Steve Blackett, while Mottley was between City of Bridgetown MP Jeffrey Bostic and St George North MP Gline Clarke.

Despite the steaming mid-morning sun, the event brought together Barbadians in a moment of pride and fervour just after 10:30 a.m. when the exuberant marshal ran that part of the course to announce the singing of the National Anthem, which was followed by the holding of hands and the passing Broken Trident.
