Mix and match

How would you define your personal style?
Three words, simple, playful and comfortable.

Do you find that you follow fashion trends or do you play by your own rules?
For sure some fashion trends are inspirational but I take that inspiration and create my own. Like everyone, right?

Has your fashion sense changed over the years or has it remained the same?
It has changed for sure. Not drastically, but as a child I was pretty much the epitome of “tom boy” so baggies and over sized T-shirts were and still are my thing and skirts were a no-no, especially short ones. But my mum produced a young lady so you shape up. but I won’t lie, I own maybe one short skirt at present! Old habits die hard I guess.

Are there any colours that you tend to shy away from, and if so why?
I would say brown, because it’s the closest to my complexion but I bet if I came across the correct shade of brown I would rock it.

As a child were you always into clothes or did you grow into your own fashion sense?
As a child I was much more interested in mudpies and playing with the boys or being by myself, so I can surely say I have grown into my own fashion sense.

How does your day-to-day life factor into your wardrobe choices?
Well it’s a move of  “It’s clean – good, and it doesn’t need to be ironed  even better! That’s the day to day wardrobe decision!

Are there any designers that you like to wear or whose clothing stands out with you?
Truly, I’m not for fashion per se. I am a fanatic for vintage clothing and thrift stores. But the few designers I have in mind would be Alyssa Goddard, Betty Johnson, Kesia Estwisk, Shakad, Rhaj Paul and H&M.

If you could choose one colour that should be in every wardrobe, what would it be and why?
Realistically, black should be in your wardrobe because it’s just that everyday, everything colour.

Where do you like to shop?
Do I even like to shop? Even I get annoyed with my indecisive behaviour; but I prefer to shop in a thrift store where you get a lot of really different interesting pieces which you can mix and match to create any look.
