WITH?THE?CAMPAIGNING for tomorrow’s general election winding down, both the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) and the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) held major meetings last night in their efforts to drive home their messages.
The BLP mounted one of its platforms at West Terrace, St James, in the St James South constituency, where party speakers spokein support of Sandra Husbands, the party’s candidate for that constituency.
The DLP also held a number of meetings, with one of the big events being at Oistins, where the party pushed its support for all five of its candidates contesting the Christ Church constituencies.
Both of these meetings attracted supporters who paid rapt attention to the presentations, which sought to explain why the party’s candidates should be supported in tomorrow’s poll. (ES)
