ST ELIZABETH – Barbados’ winning streak in the WICB Under-15 tournament ended yesterday after crashing to a seven-wicket defeat against Windward Islands.
Resuming the second and final day on 46 for three – with a lead of 21 – Barbados, who conceded first innings points on the opening day, were dismissed for 110 at the St Elizabeth Technical High School.
Danny Chesham hit the topscore of 33 while captain Najee Holder made 22.
It left Windwards with a target of 87 which they achieved for the loss of three wickets despite losing two early scalps.
Both Barbados, the defending champions, and Windward Islands, last year’s runners-up, have two wins from three matches. (HG)
