A St Michael youth who was shot, reportedly in a drive-by shooting on Collymore Rock, died yesterday at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
Sources told the DAILY NATION that Romario Yarde, of Bayville, was riding a bicycle when a car pulled alongside him and someone opened fire. He was shot in the chest and the car sped away.
The 20-year-old was later removed from the scene around noon by people passing in a vehicle. They took him to the QEH, where he died.
Last night, police public relations officer Inspector David Welch lamented the loss of life of yet another young man to gun violence.
