THE WINNERS of three singing competitions in Barbados’ Crop Over Festival – the Sweet Soca, Party Monarch and Pic-O-De-Crop shows – today collected their cars from motor vehicle dealer McEnearney Quality Inc.
The prizes are valued at about $250 000 dollars. Calypso Monarch Ian Webster landed a blue Mazda 3, while Sweet Soca winner Biggie Irie picked up a silver grey Ford Eco Sports car and Party Monarch Gorg received a yellow Ford Eco Sports vehicle.
Chief executive officer of the National Cultural Foundation Cranston Browne urged other businesses to come forward and help the agency fund Crop Over activities next year. (TY)
