Winter looking good, says Virgin

BARBADOS’ WINTER SEASON is shaping up to be a good one, if bookings to date on Virgin Atlantic Airways are anything to go by.

Nick Parker, outgoing Caribbean head of Virgin, said the airline’s bookings for the coming winter season were showing an increase.

Not only that, but passenger load projections for the winter were ahead of last season’s “and very positive”.

According to Parker’s successor, Andre Bello, the airline has the seat capacity to match the hotel complement in the Caribbean with the two aircraft being operated in the region, the 747 and A330.
