Caution on flooded roads

POLICE ARE ADVISING MOTORISTS to avoid the following roads or exercise caution in these areas which have been affected by flooding.

Public relations officer acting assistant superintendent David Welch said several bridges in St Andrew have been affected by the persistent rains.

Trees are reported to be across the road at Long Pond, St Andrew.  A car isalso reported to be stuck in high water at Seniors, St Joseph, but persons are at present trying to assist the driver.
Affected roads:

ST JAMES – Sion Hill, Westmoreland;

ST JOSEPH – Seniors;

ST ANDREW – Baxters, Lakes, Bruce Vale, Long Pond, White Hill;

CHRIST CHURCH – Hastings, Maxwell Main Road, Fairholmes, St Lawrence Gap;

ST MICHAEL – Fontabelle, Baxters Rd. (PR/SAT)
