AFTER LOSING HIS first two meetings to Antoine “Lil Man” Daniel, Mark “Venom” Griffith won the latest encounter in four games.
Griffith successfully defended his title in the Massy United Insurance Clash of the Titans Road Tennis Tournament last night and is $12 000 richer.
He defeated Daniel 22-20, 21-12, 16-21, 21-15 before a large crowd at The Villages at Coverley, Christ Church.
Daniel won $6 000.
Dario Hinds and Kim Holder both came from behind to win the “B” final and women’s final, respectively.
Hinds beat Darius Gaskin 12-21, 21-17, 21-19, while Holder overcame Rachel Smith 17-21, 25-23, 21-17. (SAT)
