Guidance a must

PARENTS NEED TO SUPPORT their children with love and not only with material things.

Marcia Graham, the director of the parent education charity PAREDOS said yesterday it was also important to give full backing to the children while pursuing developmental things and not in any criminal pursuits.

She, along with Ralph Boyce of the Men’s Educational Support Association (MESA), spoke to the issue yesterday following recent incidents which have resulted in court action involving multiple family members.

Graham said she was “extremely concerned” since a lot of “our foreparents have worked hard to build Barbados on values”.
