Peeved parents

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

That is the slogan which about 20 parents at Parkinson Memorial School adopted at an emergency meeting yesterday as they vowed to take decisive action if the teachers withdrew their labour again.

The meeting was called by the school’s Parent-Teacher Association and the National Council of Parent-Teacher Associations (NCPTA).

The Barbados Union of Teachers withdrew the labour of 28 disgruntled teachers from the school last week. They have been complaining about the management style of principal Jeff Broomes. They also expressed fear for their lives, charging that Broomes was not disciplining students who were bringing weapons to school.
