MONDAY’S HOME INVASIONS in two middle-class areas of Barbados may have been connected, forming part of a superbly-planned criminal enterprise involving well-dressed bandits.

In response the Royal Barbados Police Force yesterday revealed it had mobilised a special team to investigate recent aggravated burglaries, where well-dressed individuals succeed in tricking residents to open their doors.

And the MIDWEEK NATION has learnt it was not the first time unsuspecting Barbadians have been attacked in their own homes by the gun-toting thugs.

Investigations have revealed that last Monday, a family from Rowans Development, St George was also victimised in circumstances similar to Monday’s, which left families in Frere Pilgrim, Christ Church and Wanstead Heights, St James, traumatised.
