LOOKA LEW: ZRs’ clown princes

ALL ZR DRIVERS ain’t bad, and all ZR conductors don’t smell musty. Just let me state that. What I do know, is that the ones who bad and who does smell musty pulling down the others who really trying them best.

So that is why you does hear people saying that allll ZR vans want taking off the road. And events like that ZR van overturning and injuring them schoolchildren recently don’t do anything to help the image.

Now, I hearing a lot of stories ’bout why the van overturn, but I can’t give my mouth the liberty to say what I hear.

Anyhow, it ain’t no secret that a lot o’ clowns does drive some of these vans, and it is them clowns that need weeding out.

Look, I ain’t no idiot, don’t mind I might look like one. I understand why a fella would break the law and pick up passengers who ain’t at a bus stop, ’cause at the end of the day he looking for money.

And the same theory applies for overloading. If Transport Board buses does be overloaded and them drivers getting a flat salary, what you expect from a fella who does get his money based on how many people he collect? But trust me, you would do the same thing too, so don’t pretend you is no angel.

But, yes, too many clowns either driving or working on these ZRs and minibuses.

Seriously, as a ZR driver, you can’t be driving, speeding and texting at the same time unless you name Superman? That is clownism of the highest order. You looking to kill people.

You can’t be on the cellphone carrying on a conversation and using one hand to try to steer through traffic while looking through a bag trying to make change from a $10 bill, that is more clownism.

And it ain’t no secret, them got fellas who does be driving and got a beer, stout or glass o’ brandy in one hand drinking. Some fellas think they so good, them does got the cellphone in one hand, the beer in the next and using them knees to steer. Again, more clownism.

But it gets worse. We got ZR drivers ’bout here, that if them driving too fast and you ask them to slow down or lower down the music, them does cuss you stink. And if you tell them that li’l children on the van and the music them playing ain’t appropriate for li’l children ears, them does cuss you and the li’l children stinker.

So that is why some people does sit down quiet and don’t say nothing when the music deafening them, or when the man speeding or when he drinking and driving, ’cause them frighten to get cuss. In other words, by not getting out or saying anything, we does help “encourage” some of the same behaviour.

I get in a Oistins van one time, and the driver was taking his cool time driving, and he was playing some gospel music. Two schoolgirls get in, and I hear them behind me cussing wanting to know what foolishness he was playing.

So in vexation, them get off at the next bus stop and said them can’t tek on that foolish music, and if them did wanta hear hymns them wouldda gone to a funeral.

My thoughts were, based upon the vans them like to catch that does do the milk shake and all the other stunts, chances are they might really get to go to a funeral, but they might not get to hear the hymns, ’cause it is hard to hear anything when you dead. See ya.
