TOP BARBADIAN hurdler Kierre Beckles has received a big break and will be competing on the Grand Prix circuit in Europe to sharpen her skills for major upcoming meets.

“Next week I leave for Belgium and I have two races up there, doing the Grand Prix in Brussels and then I have another race in Amsterdam in Holland,” she told WEEKENDSPORT after returning home to participate in last weekend’s National Championships.

“With those back-to-back races I should actually get some good times since the tracks in Belgium are actually fast so I’m looking for a good race there. I’m running against their record-holder who’s doing 12.5 [seconds] so I should have some great races leading up to Pan Am Games.”
