Grantley Adams international Airport (GAIA) is ramping up facilities to accommodate thousands of passengers expected to pass through during the 2015-2016 winter season.
A 6 000-square-foot extended area will be outfitted with an additional 550 seats to accommodate increased volumes of passengers who will be passing through the airport at peak times between November and next April, while the lounge for passengers from the Caribbean will also be expanded next year.
Four or five of the long-touted jet bridges should also be in place by 2016.
