EXCITEMENT AND CELEBRATION took over the drag strip as a new champion driver of the Barbados Association of Dragsters and Drifters (BADD) and a first-timer became the centre of attention as the curtain came down on Drag Warz 3 at Bushy Park last Sunday.
Anthony Morris, who competed in a Subaru WRX, was jumping for joy as the news broke that he was the provisional winner of the BADD champion driver’s title for 2015 after scoring a walkover after Timothy Blades’ Subaru developed engine trouble, preventing him from taking on Morris in the knockout between the two.
“I feel great. I am happy. Evenything went according to my plan. I had to rid myself of being tied on points with Barry Best going into this event and Best did not compete, so I had to deal with whoever I was matched against,” a joyful Morris said.
