ONE OF BRITAIN’S leading food service companies has teamed up with BICO Limited to bring a wide range of top brand British food and catering products to the Barbados market.

BICO is partnering with Brakes UK to introduce several lines of the British products to the local hospitality industry. British High Commissioner Victoria Dean yesterday welcomed the opportunity to showcase “the best of Britain” and said it was now possible for markets in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean to have access to “great British products”.

“I think it is a fantastic opportunity for the Barbados hospitality sector – retail, restaurants, cafes, families – to have a chance to sample some of the great things we make in the UK,” Dean said at the opening of a one-day exhibition of Brakes products, mounted at her official residence.

Over 80 representatives of the hospitality sector were expected to visit the exhibition with a view to having many of the products on offer to Barbadians over the Christmas season.
