Golfers all set for Open Championships

Some of the best golfers on the island will take to the greens at the Barbados Golf Club in Durants when it hosts the Digicel/Virgin Atlantic Barbados Golf Club Open Championships from November 7 to 8.

Betty-June Leacock, general manager of the club, thanked both Digicel and Virgin Atlantic for continuing to sponsor the tournament as it has ensured they have been able to attract a wide range of golfers at what is their premier tournament.

Leacock was speaking at a Press conference to announce the details of the championships on Thursday at Durants. Also speaking to the Press was director and golf operations manager at the club Dave Barnard.
