MOTORSPORT MARSHALS and multiple championship winners were the toast of the annual awards ceremony of the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) at Colleton Plantation, St John, last Saturday.

Rhett Watson was honoured for his second consecutive clean sweep of titles. He also carried away the SuperModified 12 and 2-wheel drive trophies with co-driver James Hutchinson, and Chris O’Neal, who won the Sextant Challenge Trophy as champion navigator for the third year in a row.

Leslie Alleyne added a sixth champion driver title and again took home the Peter Farmer Memorial Trophy in the Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship. The highest-placed female co-driver was Lindsey Pilkington.

The pair of Derek Pinto and Adam Hunte were Chefette Novice champions, while Jamaica’s Christopher “Teach” McFarlane won the Autocross Championship, dislodging former four-time champion Omar Boodhoo. (TT)
