BARBADOS’ TOP COP is going after the illegal guns in Barbados with vigour. And he has vowed not to stop until he gets them all off the streets.

On a day when three Barbadian young men were remanded to prison after being arraigned on firearms-related charges, Acting Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith promised that his force would not pull any punches when it came to halting the illegal importation of firearms, and their violent use across the country.

“We will get the guns off the streets of Barbados,” he told the DAILY NATION yesterday. “We’re not going to stop until we do it.

“Once we put our heads together, and work together, I am confident we can make a dent in these guns coming into the country. (BA)
