Police say 44-year-old Newton Oral Rose arrived in Barbados by air from Jamaica on May 10. He was interviewed by members of the Drug Squad and later referred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he passed out 70 packages of the drug.

The drugs weighed two pounds.

Newton faces charges of possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation. (PR/NB)
