THOSE INVOLVED in a case of elderly abuse now before the court have been ordered to stop talking to the press.

The gag order came yesterday in the District “C” Magistrates’ Court, where the parties and their families were warned of possible contempt charges if they did.

Arielle King, 37, returned to court on the charge of unlawfully assaulting Jasmine Hall, a patient in a nursing home, and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Acting Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch adjourned the matter and King, who remains on $3 000 bail, was ordered to return to court on July 11.
