THE THIRD SEGMENT of the women’s football development programme for 2016-2017 will continue next week with an administrative course.

This course was preceded by the coaching course and the launch of the Live Your Goals programme and will be conducted by FIFA’s facilitator Ebru Koksal from June 23 to 27 at the Barbados Olympics Association’s headquarters in Wildey.

“It’s a two-year programme that has been developed by the women’s committee of the Barbados Football Association (BFA) and the objectives of the overall programme are to build awareness of [football], teach administration of the game and growth and retention of players in the game,” said BFA marketing and communications officer Katrina Kirton.

She said that the course would be free as this was part of the development of women’s football and a way of giving back to the community at large. (JC)
