BOXING CONTINUES to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

That is the opinion of president of the Barbados Boxing Association, Anthony Jones, as he expressed disappointment at the level of boxing at last Friday night’s Horace Phillips Memorial Tournament at the Kensington Oval bond.

“I am a little bit disappointed. In 2015, we won nine gold medals at the Caribbean Development Tournament in Guyana and we are hosting it this year, but our boxers are not really performing up to the standard that’s required to maintain that,” he said.
