SIR FRANK ALLEYNE, an economist who has served under all four Democratic Labour Party (DLP) Prime Ministers shared some brief insight into his interaction with them this morning.

Sir Frank said one thing the four leaders had in common was the promotion of the quality of life for the broad masses in the country.

He was speaking at the DLP headquarters, George Street, St Michael, where the party launched an Independence exhibition themed Leadership.

Speaking to the theme, General Secretary George Pilgrim said, “Leadership is very important to any organisation and Barbados throughout its 50 years has been blessed to elect leaders with principles that drove our development agenda. This party contributed four of the seven Prime Ministers and has the honour of steering the ship during our 50 year of Independence”.

The exhibition is made up of photographs of the leaders over the years, as well as Barbadian artefacts like oil lamps and irons. (LK)
