CREWS FROM THE Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) patched potholes in more than 100 roads across the country over the weekend.

Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley told the DAILY NATION yesterday that a check with senior officers revealed that hundreds of potholes in almost 120 roads, stretching from St Lucy to St Philip, were covered.

Multiple crews working simultaneously poured more than 160 tonnes of hot asphalt mix into 24 roads in Christ Church alone, including Maxwell Main Road, Silver Hill, Silver Sands, Rising Sun, Worthing, Gall Hill and Frere Pilgrim.

At the same time, a crew from the St Lucy depot worked on roads at Chance Hall, Lowlands, Alleynedale, Spring Hall, Round Rock and Little Bay, among others. (RRM)
