Businesses worried

THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!

That was the consensus of dozens of residents and business owners last night as they held talks to figure a way out of the mess created by what appears to be a malfunctioning South Coast sewage treatment facility.

As effluent continued to flow from manhole covers in the densely populated residential, commercial and tourism belt in the Worthing, Christ Church area, the concerned group vented at a town hall meeting at the Coast Beach Café Lounge in Worthing.

One major South Coast business owner said activity at his enterprise had declined by a whopping 60 per cent in the last three months. (AD)
