HEALING HERBS: Zucchini good for men

“BULKELEY SUGAR FACTORY in St George ground itself to death,” said the unsuspecting speaker.

While the factory remains motionless and the jury deliberates whether the above statement is true or false, I am making an empowering statement: “This year no one will be grinding me to death. I am not coffee.”

Is there a person or situation attempting to grind you to death? Is it incest, sexual abuse, idle gossip, infidelity, being impotent, rape, sickness, financial loss, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, brokenness, a friend, rejection or public shaming? Whatever the challenge, always remember that it will
fade away.

I have been through some turbulent storms in life and have survived. You too can survive. Survival is critical and the following recommendations can prevent you from grinding yourself to death:

1. Identify and prevent the challenge from developing into a nervous breakdown.

2. Write down the challenge and draw a picture to match it,
even if you use stick-men.

3. Forgive yourself through affirmation. For example, I forgive myself for believing that brokenness can kill me.

4. Commence a process of prayer, meditation, exercise and progressive changes.

5. Surround yourself with persons who show genuine compassion.

6. Maintain positive thought patterns and isolate yourself from
the stressor.

7. Practise applying unconditional love.

In addition, you can research silent doctor zucchini to bring feelings of warmness and deeper connections to Mother Earth. According to www.organicfacts.net: “Many researchers have taken extracts from this squash to conduct certain studies and concluded that this fruit has certain properties that effectively treat an ailment in men called BPH, or benign prostatic hypertrophy.”

Research also reveals that zucchini can lower blood pressure and cholesterol, prevent cancer and gout, maintain eye health, promote hair growth, assist with weight loss, and is good for the nervous system. The website thescienceofeating.com states: “The dietary
fibre in zucchini helps lower cholesterol by attaching itself to bile acids that the liver makes from cholesterol for digesting fat.”

In conclusion, instead of grinding yourself to death, practise the four
Rs: refocus to readjust, rectify and realign.
