NATIONAL CHAMPIONS and long-standing doubles partners Shae Martin and Amanda Haywood were on fire at the finals of the Barbados Badminton Association Junior Nationals on Sunday.
Tension filled the air in the gymnasium of the Barbados Community College, as some patrons were observed on the edge of their seats.
Martin secured a victory in the Under-19 boys’ singles against his doubles partner Keshem Moore 21-12 and 21-18 in a thrilling match.
Both youngsters held on for as long as they could, but Martin always managed to gain the upper hand. (RA)
