Undaunted

POLITICS IS HIS passion, and 13-year-old Khaleel Kothdiwala will not be stopped.

So says the mother of the teenaged boy who sprang into the national spotlight after speaking on the podium during the Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) March Of Disgust last Saturday.

In an emotional interview with the SATURDAY SUN last night, Aqeela Kothdiwala said she would allow neither Minister of Social Care Steve Blackett’s nor Minister of Education Ronald Jones’ comments to deter the dreams and goals of her son.

Earlier this week during the Estimates Debate, Blackett threatened to report the matter to the Child Care Board after insisting that the teen’s appearance was a form of exploitation. (RB)
