Cricket fans ticked off

FRUSTRATED cricket fans vented their displeasure yesterday over the long wait in line to get tickets for Sunday’s Twenty20 International between West Indies and Pakistan at Kensington Oval.

When NATIONSPORT visited the sole ticket office at noon, nearly 100 people were in the line on the outskirts of the Oval.

It was the first day tickets were on sale and some fans complained they had been waiting for more than three hours.

While officials later explained the challenges stemmed from Internet issues, some fans, including Clinton Martin, who was in the line since 9:30 a.m., were not sympathetic. (HG)
