ON THE EVE of the start of the new cricket season, the Barbados Cricket Umpires Association (BCUA) will meet with the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) today to thrash out issues of concern.

While refusing to say if a withdrawal of services was being considered should be issues not be resolved, BCUA vice president Patrick Grazette made it clear yesterday the body was unhappy given the non-receipt of rules and regulations for the 2017 season, which will feature a Twenty20 Shield for the first time.

“We have not received the regulations as yet. We have seen draft copies. They are only pieces of paper. We’ve told them that it is unacceptable. We’ve said it to everyone,” Grazette told WEEKENDSPORT.
