Palm tree falls

Date:

Share post:

Palm trees are swaying, night winds are blowing, goes a popular line in the El Verno del Congo song.

But the days of this stately palm at the entrance of The Barbados Advocate on Fontabelle, St Michael, are certainly over for welcoming visitors to the building.

The old tree, which towered over the power lines and entrance to the newspaper, collapsed and had its final bow Friday afternoon.

No injuries were reported. (JS)
