Honorary Consuls representing a host of countries in Barbados got together for their annual Christmas reception last week, welcoming new faces in the group and acknowledging another year of meaningful contributions on behalf of the countries they represent.

On a terrace by the seaside at the Southern Palms Hotel, host Britta Pollard, the Danish Honorary Consul, spread out delectable fare for the guests while the strains of live festive music wafted through the air.

Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson stood in for Minister of Foreign Affairs Senator Dr Jerome Walcott, expressing Barbados’ gratitude for the work done by the men and women who serve in a consular capacity. (GC)
