CUSTOMERS OF Scotiabank will soon be able to benefit from mobile banking services using their web-enabled handsets.Scotiabank assistant general manager – branch banking, Jennifer Murray, said: “Scotiabank has always prided itself on providing excellent customer service in our branches, over the phone and online. With today’s announcement, we are extending our promise to cellular phones.“We understand that Barbadians rely on the convenience of mobile to help them manage their busy lifestyles. Aware that customers of Scotiabank have such needs, that is exactly what we will be delivering.” Murray added that by taking this step, Scotiabank demonstrated its commitment to offer innovative, convenient and secure banking solutions for customers just as it did in introducing its user-friendly Internet banking. Scotiabank managing director – Caribbean East, Kevin Teslyk, commenting on the situation, said: “Our customers with web-enabled mobile devices are going to gain time in their day once they begin using Scotiabank’s mobile banking services. The use of this emerging technology here ensures we open more points of access for our customers to conduct business with us.” (PR)
