DESPITE SOME inclement weather in the morning, yesterday’s Bridgetown Market still attracted a moderate crowd.People started to gather late in the afternoon and evening to view and purchase the art, craft, food, toys, plants, live fish, sno-cones, clothes and more on offer. This year’s market featured a few first-timers, such as the Guyana based Princess Hotel and Casino, the first hotel to take part in the market and young illustrator Cherise Ward.Ward, a student of The St Michael School and Barbados Community College and a Barbados Scholar, recently returned from studying at the New York School of Visual Arts where she earned a bachelor’s degree with honours.
