Students from schools across the island gathered at Queen’s Park for a literacy fair yesterday, International Literacy Day.
Booths were set up with books and literature for children to read and purchase.
A special feature was a Drop Everything And Read segment where people were encouraged to read for 15 minutes starting at 1:45 p.m.
