FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED, rainfall at Three Houses Factory Yard in St Philip to end of September was 47 inches, the same for the 12 months of the years 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

In the last 15 years, 2005 registered the highest rainfall: 67 inches, while 2003 had the lowest: 40 inches.

Total for year-end 2010 could be well over 70 inches as history shows that October and November are heavy rainfall months.

From old records, the average yearly rainfall total was considered to be 60 inches.

The highest ever recorded year total was 91 inches in 1901 and 1951, the lowest 39 inches in 1930 and 1947, while more recently 1966 recorded 88 inches.
