Picture perfect wedding day

It’s your big day and just as important as having a wonderful day, is preserving the memories of that day…in photos. The first step in doing so is to select the perfect photographer. As with anything else, in order to do this, one should shop around. Remember, the most expensive isn’t always the best; the best one will be the one that suits your needs.
Make a shortlist of possible candidates and then meet with each of them. View their portfolios, share your ideas and ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want; after all, it is your day and you want it to be perfect.
When examining the photographer’s portfolio you should be wowed. Look for a high level of creativity and new ideas, things that make you say, “Hmm, I’ve never seen this before.” Choose someone who understands your vision, whether the theme of your wedding is classical, fun, modern or quirky.
Engagement photos, wedding photos, mugs, DVDs, key rings, bookmarks, there are many options to help you capture the day’s memories, but whatever your choice, ensure that it represents the two of you. You know what you want and you have ideas, some may even seem unrealistic, but share them with the photographer. A good photographer will probably be able to bring your ideas to life.
Ensure that you look at the number of photos being offered and the cost of additional prints. If you’re a photo lover, this will be especially important to you. Select a photographer who will give you a bundled package rather than work on a per-hour basis. Even though it may cost a bit more, you will be guaranteed the coverage you want.
With all the excitement and activity of the day, there will be lots happening which you may not get to see as it happens. Thanks to your photographer, these scenes will be captured and preserved for you to view later. Some options will offer a team of photographers, which is ideal for large weddings, since it makes it easier to capture all of the special moments and emotions of not only the couple, but the guests as well.  The end result will be a wedding album that tells a complete story of your special day and provides memories you will be able to cherish forever.
