Lil Rick gets little support

Ricardo Lil Rick Reid’s call for a review of the judging criteria for last Sunday’s Party Monarch competition has not received much support from Barbadians.
In fact, some say Lil Rick is simply a sore loser and should accept the judge’s decision. Lil Rick was runner up to Party Monarch winner Mikey who won with his song Pavement Anticipation.
Lil Rick, who performed Crazy People, said in an interview that there should be a clearly defined criteria for the competition and also called for a raise in prize monies. He also wants the judges to go to the Crop Over fetes to see which songs were “moving people”.
He also believes there were certain songs which should not have been in the Party Monarch simply because they have not been played at the parties. (CM)
