THE striking Alexandra School teachers return to the classrooms this morning while dozens of parents remain unsure about how lost time will be made up.
Some are advocating a longer day that stretches from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Last night at the St Peter institution, more than 60 members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) voiced their concerns for more than 90 minutes on the way forward for their children now that the strike by more than 30 teachers affiliated to the Barbados Secondary Teachers Union (BSTU)?has come to an end.
PTA president Carl Benskin promised he would meet with principal Jeff Broomes to express some of the concerns, while one parent suggested that the executive of the PTA meet with the school’s management tomorrow. (MK)
